Вопрос: Joyce criticises prime minister on election timing

A senior government source said the decision to leave the EU is "not an automatic thing" but rather a decision to "work towards it".

"This is not a matter of political expediency, but rather of practical concerns, not political expediency, but simply what is right for Australia and what is right for our nation," the source told Fairfax Media.

"It is quite clear what our position is."

Liberal party spokesman Mark Butler asked the government to reconsider the decision, but the source said the government had decided to leave the EU after a thorough review and "what is important for us in terms of our relationship with Europe at this stage is to continue to build the relationship between Australia and the EU in good faith".

"What we should remember is it is not an automatic decision by the government... it requires a discussion of everything and is based on a variety of different factors and circumstances and this is a process that is taking place and will continue to take place," the source said.

The ABC has sought comment from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Bombers attack us targets in morocco, killing hundreds

France, Somalia, Algeria, and Libya. The US-led Coalition carried out airstrikes in Afghanistan on April 10.

What is a US fighter jet doing about this? What about those that carry out these attacks?

As the recent news reports make clear, the coalition's targeting has not yet been determined. But as the war against ISIS has gained momentum, the Coalition has announced that it will conduct airstrikes against ISIS targets. It did so on February 4 in Afghanistan. One US fighter jet was launched on February 5.

This is a clear sign that the US has the capacity to strike at targets inside Syria even as the country is still divided. This was confirmed on January 31 when a US fighter jet was shot down in Iraq by a mortar.

The US warplanes have recently taken part in "air strikes" in northern Afghanistan. In early January, an airstrike killed two people there and injured at least 50. The US has claimed that airstrikes and a ground operation would defeat ISIS, but as of February 18 it was still unsure. In this manner, the US military has been expanding its role into territory in which Russia still has a military presence. The Syrian conflict is yet another one to which US fighters have been deployed, since the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were initially supposed to assist the Syrian opposition, not the rebel groups themselves, but not many of the countries that fight ISIS with US assistance have shown any inclination to participate in a military offensive.
